We’re currently recruiting on behalf of our client in the construction and materials sector for an experienced Quarry Manager to lead day-to-day operations at a busy site in Ireland.

This is an exciting opportunity to oversee a key production facility, supplying high-quality aggregates and construction materials to commercial and infrastructure projects across the region. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, safety-driven leader with deep experience in quarry management, plant operations, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all quarrying activities, including extraction, crushing, screening, and maintenance.
Act as the Statutory 8.1(c) appointee, ensuring the site operates in full compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) legislation.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team across site operations and maintenance.
Ensure adherence to quarry design plans, environmental permits, and site development strategy.
Drive operational performance across output, cost control, safety, and quality.
Conduct regular inspections, risk assessments, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate with internal departments (commercial, logistics, technical) and manage external contractors and suppliers.
Maintain accurate records for audits, compliance, and production tracking.
Promote a proactive, respectful, and safety-first site culture.

Your Profile:
Proven leadership in quarrying, mining, or heavy industrial environments.
In-depth knowledge of quarry operations, mobile plant, and aggregate production.
Strong understanding of Irish health, safety, and environmental regulations.
SHE NVQ Level 3, WAMITAB, or equivalent certifications (preferred).
Highly organised and confident managing teams, budgets, and site planning tools.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a hands-on leadership style.
Experience working in the construction materials sector is highly desirable.
